All About Dogs Show

We’ve been lucky enough to visit many of the big dog shows over the years, but the All About Dogs Show was one that we still hadn’t ticked off our list. So this year we booked in the date and were invited along by the team.

They have 6 shows across the country all throughout the year, we went to the Newbury show as it was the closest to us. I’ve been to the show ground before to compete in agility so knew it was a good location, the sun made an appearance properly for the first time this year which was even better! [Although I was still dressed for a winters day]

We couldn’t walk past without a photo – Woody with his bar!

Because of my job I usually know about 90% of the trade stands at shows, however here there were so many that I hadn’t heard of and it was great to learn all about them. There were collars and leads, drying mitts, fancy dress outfits, food and treats and many photoshoot stands.

Never before have I realised how crazy popular doodle breeds have become, they’ve taken over in the last 3 years! Almost every other dog was a doodle and Wilma was determined to say hi to them all [She is nervous of new dogs but loves Doodles, i think she knows they look like her]. As well as this about every 4 dogs was a puppy! Everyone was out enjoying the sun with their dogs and families which was lovely to see.

One of my [Well Woody’s] big highlights of the shows is visiting K9 Aqua Sports. This is a dock diving stand where they jump off into the water and he LOVES it! He spends the whole queue which can be a couple of hours long squealing with excitement.

There were also so many have a go activities – Agility, Scurries, fun dog shows and many more. There were also a whole range of charities and organisations raising awareness of their breeds and rescue dogs. A particular favourite of mine were the wolves. I knew the UK had a few packs of Wolves but these were tame and you could go up and touch them!

The remaining shows of theirs this year are:

Otherwise earlier in the year are Newbury and Suffolk – ones to remember for next year.

Have you been to an All About Dogs Show before? Or are you planning on visiting this year?
