Whether you live in the Cotswolds or you’re here visiting on holiday with your dog, here are some of the best pet shops that you absolutely must pay a visit to!
Run by Nairobi the Labrador and her humans Alistair and Amelia. These canine experts only stock sustainable products that they truly recommend for happy and healthy dogs. Plus much of their stock is handmade by local makers in the Cotswolds and UK.
Your dogs will drag you into the shop as they queue up at the puppacino station! With their own dog grooming salon upstairs, you can book your dog in for a regular groom or spa day of their own with Jordan and the rest of the team.
Stop in town for a coffee or brunch or walk the dogs in Westonbirt Arboretum beforehand. Tetbury is one of my favourite Cotswold towns, so good that the King lives just down the road in Highgrove!
2. Bark Raw
With two stores, one in Cam (near Dursley) and the other just outside of the Cotswolds in Thornbury (near Bristol) this family run business has a huge variety of natural chews, treats and Raw food brands.
Stock up your freezers with the best diet available for your dogs, or if you’re here on holiday pick up your raw food for the week without having to travel with it in the car!
The team are on hand to help you with natural supplements for itchy dogs, shampoos for muddy walks and calming relief for firework season. Plus the best dog deli filled with natural chews and treats for dogs of all ages and sizes.
3. Just for Pets
Located in some of the most popular Cotswold Towns you will find Just for Pets in Cirencester, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water.
They stock colourful collars, leads & harnesses for your dog’s holiday outfit. Freezers full of raw food and shelves of high quality dry food, surrounded by another huge selection of natural chews and treats.
4. Be More Bob
Another independent pet shop, this time in Cheltenham. Be more Bob, inspired by shop dog Bob the Border Collie x Poodle.
A Ruffwear stockist for those adventure pups looking for a new harness as well as so many more of our favourite big brands.
