It’s the 3rd year of BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace, it was the first ever show Wilma went to as a pup so we just had to head along again. It’s a family orientated show all based around the BBC show Counrtyfile and their passion for the British countryside.
They were fortunate for 4 dry days of the show this year, however it was almost too good to be true, as the weekend especially was way too hot for dogs. Because of this we still went along but planned to only stay a couple of hours early on Saturday morning, leaving before midday so the dogs are home for the hottest part of the day.
The Countryfile presenters are all around the show, so if you’re quick enough you might spot them in between talks and demos. There are stands where you can learn all about how the show is filmed and created. Adam Henson’s farm has its own section where you can meet all the animals up close. There’s kayaking and SUP boarding to have a go at on the lake. But the majority of the show is stands, local businesses and from across the country. A huge variety of food stands with the most of them being homeware and products for your family.
There’s also a dog section with a ring for demonstrations and dog businesses dotted all around. This is where we caught up with Cotswold Raw again and we had a catch up about all things dog food.
As I’ve been able to capture Wilma’s life growing up alongside Woody and I love comparing photos over the years. So we recreate this Blenheim Palace photo every year. [Lets just ignore last years horrific hairdo of Wilma’s].
Although we were only there for a couple of hours, cooling coats were definitely needed for the dogs. These are from Paws and Presto – we blogged about them here. It was so good to see less dogs about, lots of people had the sense to leave their dogs at home in the cool whilst they enjoyed a long day out at the show. The dogs can always come along next year when the weather is a bit cooler.

OMD Wilma’s hair do is just priceless! I’m surprised she even speaks to you after making her go out in public like that. It is kind of cute though and I bet she got lots of attention!

We would have loved for you to stop by and see us at Woofie Love stocking all of your favourite brands! We will be all next year with a much bigger stand. We hope you will come and see us! We love local doggies!!! We are only based 10 mins down the road to the show 🐾🐾
