There are so many beautiful places to have Afternoon tea in the Cotswolds & surrounding area, and many of them you can take your dogs with you. But at Widbrook Grange they can actually join you with their very own Dog afternoon tea. So no more guilt whilst you enjoying your scones as they have their very own treats to tuck into.
Widbrook Grange in Bradford on Avon invited us down for afternoon tea with the dogs. We couldn’t have picked more perfect weather, and spent a glorious sunny Monday in the garden. If the weather was damper or colder we could have sat in the conservatory with the dogs but we just had to make the most of the sunshine [We might not get much more!].
We had an Afternoon tea for two and the dogs had one each. For the humans there were a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones with fresh cream and jam; served with Tea or Coffee. I’ve heard they also do a great Vegan afternoon tea if that suits you best, but it’s best to book it in advance to make sure they’ve got all the relevant foods in for you.
The dogs had a Puppacino, a mug filled with cream and topped with a biscuit. It was hilarious watching them trying to eat it, questioning whether to bite it or lick it. They both opted to lick the mugs clean and their faces [and Wilma’s beard] were covered in cream and they were so pleased with themselves!
Next was a bowl of Lily’s kitchen wet food. We were asked at the start which flavour they’d like and I chose Sunday lunch for them both. This was the bowl that went the quickest and they gobbled it up in no time.
Then the final bowl was filled with Lily’s kitchen biscuits and a tennis ball each, they couldn’t decide whether to eat or play with the ball first!
Widbrook is run [With the help of lots of lovely humans] by a gorgeous Australian Labradoodle called Ginny. She has her own Instagram @ginnywidbrookgrange & had her own Dog birthday party recently with her friends and a dog birthday cake! She wasn’t there whilst we visited as she’s a busy lady, but she’s living the dream with lots of visitors and cuddles. Widbrook grange actually have the option for you to have your own doggy birthday party with all sorts of dog friendly cakes and essential party accessories. Click here for more information on dog birthday parties.
The grounds were gorgeous for a walk around with the dogs afterwards on lead. And it’s the perfect place to stay and explore. The sunshine made everything sparkle, and I loved the milk truck and flowers outside the house, perfect for posing.
