Do I need a waterproof dog bed?

With so many dog beds available to buy it can be a tricky choice to narrow them down and choose what you think your dog would like best. With a range of colours or fabrics to match your home interior we also have to think about the practicality of whether they’ll last a long time, how to keep them clean and what will make your dogs the most comfortable.

My dogs have been trying out Ralph & Co’s new waterproof dog bed. We have the size Medium which gives them plenty of space to stretch out, or snuggle up cosily if they choose to share. There are two colours available, the Windsor which is a Grey or the Ascot which is a dark Pink and what we went for.

For me the main thing I look for with dog beds is their washability because they’re the first place the dogs go after a wet or muddy walk. So I need to make sure I can keep them clean and fresh as time goes on. Ralph & Co’s waterproof bed can be quickly be wiped down to remove anything on the surface, or if it needs a more thorough clean then I can simply unzip the covers and pop them in the washing machine at a low temperature.

You’re helping the environment not only because the bed is made out of recycled ocean plastics, but also because the bed is durable and long lasting. Meaning you won’t need to replace it after a few months or years like some poorly made dog beds.

If you’re looking for a different fabric then I’d also recommend Ralph & Co’s Herringbone Nest Tweed Dog Bed which my dogs also love.

Let me know what you think and which colour you’d go for?
